Kenneth Wayne Martin, 65 of Aztec, NM. passed away July 2, 2023. He was born October 24, 1957 in Farmington, NM.

He was better known to friends and family as "Kenny." His life is one to be celebrated; family was his life.

He was married to Helen Elizabeth Chitwood-Martin for 47 years. They began and created their lives together starting April 2, 1976. From this love their children were given life, 2 daughters and a son: Olivia Martin, Scotty Martin, and Janice Martin-Herbaugh (Chris). Not only was he known as "Kenny" he was also known as "Papa" to his five beautiful grandchildren: Melissa Martin, Madison Herbaugh, Jesse Chandler, Paityn Herbaugh, and Braxton Herbaugh. He also had many nieces and nephews that he considered to be his own kids.

Kenny worked in the oilfield industry for over 40 years. During that time, he has many experiences that then turned into his funny stories. He took many trips that broadened his worldly perspective and connected with and made lifelong friends.

Kenny enjoyed riding motorcycles, golfing, fishing, and boating. He loved going to all of his grandchildren's and kid's extracurricular activities. Whether it was baseball, softball, football, volleyball, or racing; he was always there to support them in whatever they did.

He is preceded in death by his son, Scotty Ray Martin; mother Minnie Martin; father Kenneth Martin; and "Pops" Wayne Martin. He had many additional loved and missed family members that preceded him.

A viewing will be held at Farmington Funeral Home 2111 W. Apache St. on Thursday, July 6th at 2:00pm. A graveside will take place at 10:00 am on Friday, July 7th at the Cedar Hill Cemetery.
