IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Larry James
Antonini
February 5, 1941 – February 5, 2026
Larry James Antonini, 85, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2026, in Farmington, New Mexico, surrounded by his loving family on his birthday.
He is survived by his wife, Madonna (Gualandi) Antonini; his 5 children Andrea Antonini, Drew (Calah) Antonini, Lori (Steven) Choppe, Mike Antonini and Suzi Antonini; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 1 niece and 7 nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Mollie Antonini; his brothers Jerry and Paul Antonini; and his sister, Judy Marion.
Born and raised in Pekin, Illinois, Larry followed his dreams west where he and his beloved wife of 48 years, Madonna, built their "dream" home in Woodland Park, Colorado. A proud ironworker by trade, he worked with Local 112 in East Peoria and Local 24 in Denver for nearly 5 decades. He loved his work and carried the heart of an ironworker throughout his entire life. Turns out ironworkers never "retire".
Larry was a true mountain man. He loved hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. He was a gifted craftsman who found pure joy in woodworking and welding. He had a servants heart and he was always willing to help others with no expectations of anything in return. Larry never knew a stranger, he was often found striking up conversations with others around him wherever he went.
Above all, Larry loved his family fiercely. His generous heart, steady strength, and deep love for his family leaves a legacy and memories that will live on in all who knew and loved him.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
