It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Dad, Larry E. Bunnell. Dad dedicated his heart to family, especially his grandchildren. Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing that he has returned to our Mom, Rosemary, in Heaven. Dad always took pride in working hard to provide for us and gave us a great example to follow by teaching responsibility, doing our best, and caring for others. Dad's example carried through his 20+ sales career at Car Quest Auto Parts where he said he was visiting friends instead of working.
Dad enjoyed talking about Mom, taking pride in marrying her twice; he was a bit younger and couldn't get a license in NM. They crossed into AZ with a couple of friends as witnesses, got married and returned to NM to repeat their vows again the next day. The first wedding was an anniversary celebrated with their own knowing smiles, the second was to include family.
Over the years, Dad and Mom raised 3 kids and spoiled 3 grand kids. Fishing, impromptu out of town drives, forest picnics, and viewing Christmas lights were favorite activities. Dad could fix anything, taking pride in solving problems and saving money. Mom could make a delicious meal out of practically anything. She lovingly preserved Dad's garden veggies and fruit. We know that Mom and Dad are preparing our Home where one day we will be joyfully reunited.
Preceded in death by spouse Rosemary Bunnell, Parents Jimmy Golden Bunnell, Ola Mae Lasiter. Brother David Bunnell.
