Mr. Larry Cockrum, age 73 of Farmington, New Mexico, passed away on Wednesday April 8, 2026. Larry was born on April 11, 1952, in Pueblo, Colorado to Betty and Lawrence Cockrum.

He graduated from Baptist Bible College with a bachelor's in theology. He moved to Farmington in 1975 and worked on Mack Trucks for 37 years. Larry was a Deacon for many years and served his church family in many jobs and roles at Emmanuel Baptist Church of Farmington. He enjoyed camping, jeeping, fixin cars, four wheeling and had a special love of animals and had many dogs during his lifetime.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Betty Cockrum. Grandparents: James Allen Cockrum, Elizabeth Mae Chapman Cockrum, Benjamin Harrison Jones and Ruth Edna Gray-Cockrum.

Surviving are his wife Bonnie, Daughter Kristi (Michael J.) Carney and his Son; Greg (Sara) Cockrum. Grandchildren; John "Coy" Carney, Ben Carney and Abrianna Carney. His sister, Diana Tanner and his twin brother LeRoy Cockrum.

A celebration of his life is scheduled for 11:00 AM Friday April 17th, 2026, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 211 W. 20th St., Farmington, NM 87401, Dr. David Brittain officiating.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Alan Britt, Cody Off, David Harrison, Ben Carney, Coy Carney, Michael Carney, Greg Cockrum, Rick Mace, Rudy Montano and Justin Reiker
