Laverna Ahkeah

Laverna Denetclah Ahkeah, 91, of Tokii/Gadiiahi community passed from this life January 7, 2024, at Aztec Care Center in Aztec, New Mexico. She was Oozeii Tachiini clan, born to Ttaashchii. Her late parents were Harry Denetclaw, Sr., and Julia Denetclah of Tokoii.

She was born on June 24, 1932. Her Late maternal grandfather was Hosteen Deshnod, Tlizi Lani Clan, of Gadiiahi; paternal grandfather was Denetclah, left-handed man, Kinyaa aani clan of Sheepsprings, NM.

She's preceded in death by her late husband, Robert E. Ahkeah and survived by one son, Bryson Ahkeah of Farmington, NM.

A service will be held at the Bethal Christian Reformed Church in Shiprock, NM. at 10:00am, January 13, 2024, followed by a potluck reception at the same location.
