Leonard Benally

Leonard Benally age 55 of Farmington, New Mexico passed from life September 22, 2022. He was born to Albert and Mary E. Benally on January 12, 1967, in Shiprock, New Mexico. Leonard attended San Juan College for the automotive program and was a mechanic by trade. He worked at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where he was highly regarded as an important honorable employee in maintenance. Leonard was a kind, generous and giving person who lived a quiet, simple and humble life with his two cats. He loved his son, Fonzie. Leonard enjoyed writing, watching movies, playing his guitar and spending time with his cats. He was enormously loved and will be greatly missed by family, friends, co-workers and neighbors.  

Leonard is preceded in death by his parents Albert and Mary E. Benally as well as his grandparents, Jim and Elizabeth Buck. He is survived by his son Alfonso “Fonzie” Benally, brothers Watson A. Benally and Stanley Benally, sisters Marie A. Begay, Florence A. Bekis, Genevieve Dan, Vera J. Sargent and a granddaughter Aemelia Benally.
