Leroy Werito joined his father, mother, brother, and sister in heaven on January 9, 2026, while leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness that will never be forgotten.
Leroy was known for his goofy sense of humor, his constant smile, and his ability to make those around him feel loved and at ease. He had a kind heart and a joyful spirit, bringing light into every room he entered. He was incredibly creative, artistic, and naturally talented — able to make anything out of anything. With his hands and imagination, Leroy could turn the simplest materials into something meaningful, and his creativity was just another way he shared his joy with the world.
He is survived by his two daughters, Rebecca Hayes and Lavette Salcido, who were the pride of his life. He was a devoted and loving grandfather to five grandchildren: Madison Hayes, Kylee Hayes, Raul Salcido, Ryan Salcido, and Riley Hayes, each of whom brought him immense joy.
Leroy is also survived by his four brothers, George, Kenneth, Leo, and Andy, and his three sisters, Juanita, Rosita, and Louise, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him deeply.
Though he is no longer with us, his laughter, warmth, creativity, and love will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him. He will be remembered always for his happy spirit, his kindness, and the love he freely gave.
The viewing will be held on February 5, 2026, at 9:30 a.m., followed by services at 10:00 a.m. at Farmington Funeral Home, 2111 W. Apache St., Farmington, NM 87401. Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery, 1606 N. Dustin Ave., Farmington, NM 87401
