Leslie Richard Lyautey, age 87 of Farmington, passed away on Friday August 22, 2025, from natural causes. Richard made many great life-long friends and was born on October 20, 1937, in Kane, PA. to L.E. Lyautey and Etta Mae Donaldson.
Richard was a mason and an industrial mechanic. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He enjoyed serving others through various calling within the church and the many service projects done over the years. He enjoyed serving a mission for the church with his beloved wife Jerry to Cove Fort, Utah for six months. They made many great life-long friends traveling to Utah yearly to visit them. His favorite hobbies were camping and working on his 1954 Chevy truck that he rebuilt including the body work with his family. He loving referred to that truck as "Old Blue".
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Jean Lewis of 11 years and his second wife Geraldine Farnsworth of nearly 50 years, son Ray Doolin and grandson Timothy Hamblin. his sister and brother-in-law; Jane and Inar Johnson, sister-in-law; Barbara Lyautey.
Surviving are his children; Ralph (Margo) Doolin, Rick (Barbara) Doolin, Rodney (Bonnie) Doolin, Russel (Doreen) Doolin, Vernon (Lenore) Lyautey, Misty (Mike) Hamblin, Duane Lyautey, Leslie Lyautey, Britney (Jacob) Decker, Adrienne (Maurice) Lyautey-Cheeks and Jarad (Sar) Lyautey. 34 Grandchildren, and 48 Great Grandchildren. Brothers and sister-in-law Jim (Cherry) Lyautey and Gerald Lyautey. Several nieces and nephews.
Visitation and Viewing will be held Wednesday August 27, 2025, from 6 to 7 pm at The Farmington Funeral Home, 2111 W. Apache St. Farmington, NM. Graveside services will be at 3pm on Thursday August 28, 2025, at Kirtland-Fruitland Cemetery, 4157 us 64, Kirtland, NM
