Linda Hiser Nelson age 70 of Aztec, New Mexico passed from this life on January 20, 2022. Linda was born to Leon and Laverne Hiser on April 16, 1951, in Hale Center, Texas. She was an avid believer in Christ and spent her life helping others. Linda worked as a teacher's aide and school secretary for the Pasadena Independent School District from which she retired in 2005. Linda then moved to North Carolina to be closer to her parents and sister where she decided to go back to school and become a certified nursing assistant. She then moved to Colorado to be closer to her daughter and help raise her grandchildren. Linda worked for several agencies in Colorado including Hospice Del Valle where she continued to help others. She never met a stranger and always had love and joy to spread. The highlights of her life were her children and her grandchildren and of course her family. The last few years Linda was able to find great joy spending time with her significant other, Charlie. They loved traveling and camping all over the southwest.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Leon Gail Hiser and Alice Laverne Hiser, her brother Larry Doyl Hiser and her grandson, Jackson Truman Price.

She is survived by her significant other Charles David White, her son Christopher McDill (Whitney McDill) her daughter Candice Allen (Gary Allen) her sister Karan Erwin , grandchildren Sierra Morris (Brandon Morris), Allison McDill, Aiden Price, Mason McDill and Aaron Price as well as her one great-grandchild Tatum Morris.

The family will have a private ceremony to celebrate Linda's life at a later date in order to accommodate her wishes.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Linda's honor to Gateway Church of Del Norte, Colorado. Checks can be mailed to Gateway Church, 975 Grand Avenue, Del Norte, CO 81132 with a memo "In memory of Linda Nelson" or through the church website at www.churchatgateway.com
