Linda Alline Rector

Linda Alline Rector, Age 78, of Bloomfield, NM passed away on January 29, 2026, surrounded by her family in Albuquerque, NM. Linda was born on September 9, 1947, in Monahans, TX to Vera and Woodrow Clark.

Linda was gentle in spirit but firm in her beliefs, often reminding us, “Never forget who you are and what you stand for.” She lived those words every day. With a quick wit and an unwavering sense of optimism, she found light in every situation and joy in the simple things, whether it was a card game around the table, a day at the bowling alley, or a little luck at the casino.

She poured her love into others through everything she did. She baked every birthday cake from scratch, cooked the kind of comfort food that made you feel at home, and showed up, always. She gave her time generously, serving as secretary of her bowling league and dedicating over 50 years to Aztec Roping Club, never hesitating to help wherever she was needed.

Together with her husband of 60 years, she built a foundation of love, strength, and kindness that shaped generations. She welcomed everyone with an open heart, treated strangers like friends, and was our loudest supporter, never missing a game, a rodeo, or a moment that mattered. She loved softball, coaching and cheering with pride, and believed fully in the people she loved.

She was our constant, day or night, no questions asked. Her love was steady, her presence reassuring, and her legacy one of unwavering support, laughter, and deep devotion.

Linda is preceded in death by her sons, Ronald and Michael. Parents, Vera and Woodrow, brother Larry, and her grandparents Ernest, Mazie, John, and Mary.

Linda is survived by loving husband of 60 years, Jerry, son Mike (Tiffany), daughter Sherry (Dave), sister Judy, her grandchildren Tori (Justin), Kylie, Dylan, Delaynie, Beau (Devin), Jessa, Austin (Amie), Joe and Great-grandchildren Atalie, Broen, Chloe, Jonothan, Daniel, Kayson.

Services will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, at 10:00 am, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, located at 902 W Blanco Blvd, Bloomfield, NM 87413. Burial to follow at the Bloomfield Cemetery located at 427 Cemetery Rd, Bloomfield, NM 87413.
