Obituary

Linda Storme Thompson, age 79, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2026. Linda Storme was born in Farmington, NM on November 8, 1946, the daughter of Elmer Davidson and Frieda (Foutz) Davidson. After she graduated from Kirtland High School, she spent most of her adult life on the East Coast, living in New York City, Virginia, and most recently Arnold, Maryland. She worked for a travel agency at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland for many years. There, Linda Storme enjoyed getting to know the midshipmen, helping them to arrange travel to and from home between semesters. She and her husband, Norman, often sponsored midshipmen, welcoming them into their home for dinner. She loved to "dote" on them, acting as their second mother while they were away from home.

Later in life, Linda Storme retired from the travel agency and became a massage therapist. A naturally nurturing person, she developed close relationships with many of her loyal massage clients. She also enjoyed decorating her home, especially at Christmas time, and preparing special dinners for her family.

Though she lived far from her New Mexico family, she cherished time spent with her nieces and nephews and loved hosting visits, sharing the sights and flavors of the East Coast. She returned home to Farmington, New Mexico in 2020.

Storme is preceded in death by her son, Kyle Hunter Thompson; her husband, Norman Thompson; her step-son Shawn Thompson; her siblings Sherri Sue Titus, Doug Davidson, and Mike Davidson; and her nephew Jason Seifried. She is survived by her sisters Crystal Dayna Bush, Starr Seifried, and Michelle Bergal.

Linda Storme will be remembered for her warmth and generous heart by all whose lives she touched.

A memorial in Linda Storme's honor will be held on Tuesday, April 28th from 6pm to 8pm at Artifacts 302, located at 302 E. Main, Farmington, NM where food and refreshments will also be served. Flowers may be delivered on the day of the memorial only to this location.
