Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and brother, Louis Montoya Jr. heard the beckoning call of his Heavenly Father on September 26, 2026.

Louis was born in Farmington, N.M., on March 22, 1947, to Louis Montoya Sr. and Eva Guiterrez.

Louis is survived by his beloved wife, Lupita; daughters, Laura Valdez of Bloomfield and Paula Olivas (Pedro) of Bernalillo; and sons, Jason Montoya (Natasha) of Bloomfield and Dion Chavez (Rose) of Bloomfield, and his sisters Gloria Rodriguez (Apolonio) of Bloomfield and Catalina Hernandez (Pete) of Sacramento, CA. Louis had 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Louis was preceded in death by both of his parents, Louis Sr. and Eva; grandmother, Manuelita Guiterrez; brothers, Ray Montoya and Anthony Montoya; sister, Irene Morales; his beloved son, Carlos Montoya; his grandson, Daniel Arroyo, and several Aunts, Uncles and cousins. 

Funeral services will be held on October 3, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at The Master’s Hand Church of God, with Pastor David Velasquez officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.

Our beloved Louis has been entrusted to the care of Farmington Funeral Home.
