Luis Botello Ramirez

Luis Botello Ramirez of Farmington, New Mexico passed away peacefully March 20, 2026 at San Juan Regional Medical Center. Luis lived a life of being a hard worker and a devoted husband to his wife Dominga, and always being there for his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, but most especially for the people that knew him very well in the community of Farmington.

Luis was born in El Charco de Pierda, San Luis Potosi, Mexico where he lived until coming to the United States of America and making a life doing hard work in many fields of employment.

Luis was proceeded in death by his wife of more than 30 years Dominga Duran Botello and by his brothers and sisters. They made a home a special place where he grew a beautiful garden full of vegetables, fruit and flowers. These vegetables provided their business award winning salsa. They owned and operated El Charro Restaurant for many years.

Luis is survived by his daughters; Ma. Isaac Alejandra Botello Ibarra, Luisa de Marillac Botello Ibarra, Martha Himelda Botello Olguin, Mary L. Kelley, Delia Amber Edward, Godelba Molinar, Lupita Maskew and Lizabeth Torres. Survived by his granddaughter Danette Benhamimed whose constant care, love, and presences brought him comfort and joy every day. Luis is also survived by many grandchildren, Primavera Yaret Botello Ibarra, Maria del Carmen Botello Ibarra, Alejandra Loza Botello, Luis Alejandro Botello Ibarra, Luis Alberto Romero Botello, Alejandra Marianela Romero Botello, Luis Enrique Romero Botello, Adam Carrillo, Lena Williams, Cathy Kelley, Michelle I. Scrimale, Yvonne M. Amber, Edward Amber III, Lynette M. Sanchez, Veronica M. Flores, Anthony T. Prado, Isabella P. Gonzales, Cassandra I. Gonzales. Christina Vender, Dwight Maskew Jr., Elva Bower, Timothy Maskew, and Isabel Weeden and many great-grandchildren to name. Siblings surviving Luis are Margarita Botello Ramirez and Gozales Botello Ramirez.

A Rosary will be held at 10:30 am on Friday May 29, 2026, at Saint Mary's Catholic Church. Following a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Burial will be at a later date.

His life was a blessing to all who knew him, and his memory will continue to grow in the hearts he touched. Though he is no longer with us, the love he planted in his family will live on for generations.
