Mabel Eleanor Shaw

Mabel Stutchbury Shaw of Aztec, NM died February 20, 2026 at 94 years of age. She was born January 21, 1932 in Bronx, NY to Herbert and Kate Stutchbury.

She was a long-time resident of White Plains, NY. She Graduated White Plains High School in 1949, where she met her Husband, Joseph Shaw.

In 1950 she went to Nursing School in Philadelphia, PA, and after worked as a Secretary for Buchannan Insurance in North White Plains, NY. She worked as a School Bus Driver and retired from Southern Westchester B.O.C.E.S.

She married Joseph in 1954, started a family in 1956 and was married for 66 years until Joseph’s Death in 2020.

She was a baptized Jehovah’s Witness and active in Jehovah’s Theocratic Organization for over 55 years. She volunteered her time preaching about God’s Kingdom and hosted in her home many Brothers and Sisters from all over the world.

She also provided much assistance and encouragement to her Husband, Children, Grand Children, Great Grand Children and Spiritual Families.

And she was an Avid Reader; loved Word Search, Jig Saw Puzzles and Playing Cards, Especially Pinochle!

She will be greatly missed by all of her friends and family. But, we look forward to seeing her, and all of our Dead Loved Ones again, in the Resurrection that Jesus promised (John 5: 28, 29) when all those in the Memorial Tombs will be Resurrected to the paradise earth.

We know this promise to be true because Jesus’ Apostles and Disciples reiterated this promise many times in the Scriptures. Here are just a couple more Scriptures that give us such hope:

Acts 24:15 “And I have a hope toward God, … that there is going to be a resurrection of the righteous and unrighteous.” 1 Corinthians 15:22 “for just as in Adam all are dying, so also in the Christ all will be made alive.”
