Marcos Mateo Talamante went to his heavenly home on February 22, 2026, at the age of 50.
Marcos was a resident of Gobernador New Mexico. Born September , 1975, in Farmington New Mexico to David and Annie Talamante
Marcos completed his education by getting his GED in 1999. He did oilfield related jobs including working as a roustabout. He also helped run the family ranch. Marcos loved working with electronics and working on vehicles. He also liked to draw and do beadwork. His favorite past time was just hanging out at home doing chores and working on stuff that needed fixing. He also loved his music, especially Spanish music and oldies. On any given moment, when a song came on the radio he would start dancing. Marcos was a hard worker. He was always ready to help. At home, helping his parents and siblings. He loved his nephews and nieces very much. He will be so greatly missed. We will cherish all the fond memories we have of him.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Jose Alfredo and Beatriz Talamante on his father's side. On his mother's side, he was preceded in death by his biological grandparents Ismael Herrera and Virginia Herrera, also his grandparents that adopted his mother, JB and Josefita Trujillo.
He is survived by his parents David and Annie Talamante, sister Alicia Talamante and brother Daniel (Alexandra) Talamante.
Also, his nephews and nieces.: Joshua, Maria (Manuel), Elena, Elias, Essica, and Daniel Jr.
Funeral services for Marcos will be held at St. Rose of Lima Catholic church in Blanco New Mexico on March 6, 2026. There will be a viewing before the rosary. The rosary will begin at 10:00 A.M. Followed by the funeral service at 10:30 A.M.
Those who will not be accompanying us to the burial may go to the parish hall after the funeral mass for the celebration of life meal.
Interment will follow at the family cemetery at 10375 Hwy. 64 in Gobernador New Mexico. There will be a celebration of life after his burial at St. Rose of Lima parish hall in Blanco New Mexico.
Pallbearers are Daniel Talamante, Joshua Talamante, Elias Talamante, Fidel Talamante, Ted Lucero Jr. and Manuel Andrade.
