Margaret "Peggy" Lynne Brown

Mrs. Margaret "Peggy" Lynne Brown, aged 75 of Bloomfield, New Mexico passed away on Friday April 11, 2025. She was born on April 6, 1950, in Santa Monica, California to the late David Vanderpool and Verna Johnson.

Margaret lived in Venice Beach, CA. until the family moved to Fair Oaks, CA. in 1958. She graduated from High School in 1968 and met and married David Russell in 1969 they moved to Farmington, NM. and were blessed with two sons Glen in 1970 and Randy in 1973. She enjoyed playing cards with friends and was a member of a bowling league at Brunswick and Bollero Bowling alleys in Farmington, she also drove a School Bus and was a nursing assistant at San Juan Regional Hospital. David and Peggy went their separate ways in 1981, and she married Virgil Brown in 1988, they lived in Logan, NM from 1988 to 2021 when they decided to move to Bloomfield, NM. to be closer to family and medical facilities. While in Logan they were active in the American Legion where she eventually became the District President of the Ladies Axillary for the local district and the State.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Virgil Brown and her son Randy Russell.

She is survived by her son Glen, her grandchildren; Lori Carrel, Michael Russell, Ryan Russell and Laramie Russell.

Two brothers; David and Jon Vanderpool. One sister Beverly Gartner, Several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

A celebration of Margaret's life will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday June 7, 2025, at Minium Park, 200 N Park Ave, Aztec, NM 87410
