Mary L. Giles, 72, of Aztec, NM passed away on December 26, 2025. She was born on July 11, 1953, in Canyonville, OR to Ruby Marie Wagoner and Marion Lindon Wagoner.

Mary was the best wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend anyone could have asked for. She had a smile that was contagious even in the hardest times. She was known for her humor, laughter, storytelling, and perhaps most of all, jewelry. Mary served as a waitress at Zebediah’s for over twenty years, making many long-lasting relationships with many people in our community. In her free time, she was a championship bowler for leagues in Farmington NM, Reno NV, and Cortez CO. Mary loved a lot of things in life. Utmost being her family, her dogs, bowling, reading, sci-fi, Michael Myers, and getting her hair and nails done. To have gotten to know Mary was a great honor. Her personality will live on in the hearts of others forever.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Sandy V. Giles Sr., parents Ruby Marie Wagoner and Marion Lindon Wagoner, brother Jack Wagoner, and sisters Laurene Wagoner and Sharon Hart.

Mary is survived by her son Sandy Giles Jr., daughter Deana Ault, sisters Diana Kuhmer, Sue Ann Stone, and Elsie Hughes, grandchildren Lake Giles, Morgan Giles, Wade Ault, Wren Ault, Audree Rathbun, Ethan Rathbun, and a multitude of great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date for family and friends.
