Mary Esther Goss

Mary Esther Goss, 88, of Farmington, New Mexico, passed away on April 24, 2023, in Farmington.

Mary was born on September 24, 1932, in Paris, Texas, as the second child to parents Minter Boughles Smith and Esther Marie (Hudgens) Smith.

Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. The only thing she loved more than her kids was her “grands.” Raised in Roswell, New Mexico, Mary found her true home in Farmington. As a longtime resident of Farmington, Mary served several years as secretary of the Farmington Amateur Baseball Congress and worked at Henry Productions. Mary had a sweet tooth with a fondness for Hershey Kisses, which is why she gave the BEST hugs and kisses.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband Robert Ernest Goss, parents Minter B. Smith & Esther M. (Hudgens) Smith, brother Minter B. Smith, Jr., sister Jimmie Sue (Smith) Bare, and her beloved grandson Mark B. Goss.

Mary is survived by three children and their spouses: Robert Bruce Goss (Jan), Tracy A. Goss (Eileen), and Katherine D. Pullins (Gary), 5 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and several grand dogs. Mary is deeply and lovingly missed. All feel blessed and proud to have had her as Mom, Nana, and Aunt-Sister.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation or the Farmington Museum & Visitors Center.
