Michael Gerard Velasquez

Michael Gerard (Jardo) Velasquez January 15th, 1965 - January 17th, 2026.Jardo was born in Durango CO, to Richard and Martha Velasquez. He was the 5th of 6 kids. He was an 80's metal head as he was a huge KISS fan, and he enjoyed all the heavy metal bands of the Era. He loved attending concerts and had a story about each one. He was an avid collector of KISS memorabilia and also collected Hot Wheels. Jardo was always set on winning the lottery so he could finally buy his dream El Camino. He was friendly and kind to everyone and he would give you the shirt off his back if you were in need...as long as it wasn't a concert shirt. He was a loving brother to his siblings, he was the kind of uncle every kid would want! Jardo is survived by his two sisters, Juanita (Ray) Nichols, Suzanne Ford and brother Joseph Milliano and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Martha Velasquez and his two oldest brothers, Filbert and Rudy Velasquez. His sense of humor and his friendly smile will be missed by all those who knew him, especially his family. Services for Jardo will be held on Saturday February 21st, 2026, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Farmington New Mexico. Rosary will be held at 10:30 AM with mass to follow at 11:00 AM. He will be laid to rest with his parents at the Kirtland Cemetery.
