It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Randy Vitez Sr. At the age of 68, in Farmington New Mexico surrounded by family on July 02, 2024. 

He was born to Helen Dojcinovich-Vitez, and Stanley Vitez, on March 31st, 1956, in Aliquippa Pennsylvania. Michael Attended Center high school and shortly after enlisted in the navy where he was stationed on the U.S.S Kittyhawk. Shortly after he Enlisted in the army where he was stationed in Germany, where he was honorably discharged. From there he took an interest in boxing and even fought professionally. Michael was a people person and followed that into a career in sales where he traveled all over the United States. Michael fathered two wonderful children, Tiffny, and Michael Jr. Michael lived a passion filled life and touched everyone's heart he encountered, especially the kids he coached in football, and basketball. Micheal was an avid fisherman and loved to hunt. On a business trip to South Dakota, he met the love of his life and wife of 17 years Janet Vitez, also adding two stepchildren to the family Steve and Amy Scott. 

Michael was preceded in death by his beloved mother Helen Dojcinovich-Vitez, his brother Stanley (butch) Vitez, and his grandson Daniel Keith. 

Michael is survived by his wife Janet Vitez of Gainsville Florida, daughter Tiffny Crandal (Brandon) of Farmington New Mexico, son Michael Randy Vitez II (Krista) of Farmington New Mexico, brothers Donald Vitez (Diane), And Larry Vitez, sisters Kim Vitez-Mineard (Roger), and Tammy Vitez-Redzanic, grandkids Izaiah, Izabelle, Nathaniel, Jacob, Izaac, Eli, Mariah, Chloe, and one great grandson Ace. And all his wonderful cousins and nephews and nieces. 

Michael wanted all his family to know that he loved them very much and he did not want you to be sad about his passing but be happy for the time you spent together and to remember he is no longer in pain but is in heaven with Baba. We will all miss him very much. 

Michaels last wishes was to be cremated and his family to join together in remembrance at a time to be determined at a later date.
