Nina Page

Nina F. Page, 102 of Bloomfield, woke up in the arms of Jesus Thursday, July 23, 2026. Born on June 16, 1924, in Fayetteville Arkansas. Grew up in South Texas where she met and married her lifelong sweetheart Bill Page in 1946. They moved to New Mexico in 1957 with their 3 children and settled there until they were called home.

Nina was well known for her Christian faith, and devout member of FBC Bloomfield. She was a hard worker her whole life, made delicious home cooked meals, enjoyed baking, crafts, gardening, sewing (especially quilting). The children enjoyed listening and learning silly songs she would sing. Everyone got a kick out of her old-time sayings like “For heaven’s sake” “Oh my stars” “Heavenly days” “well I’ll say”.

It was common for her to be surrounded by family and friends as she was very active in the lives of her loved ones, especially during her younger years. Memories of being cared for by her are often shared. Although she was a strong and independent woman, nobody realized it until the death of her husband in 2002. She would be up on her roof tarring leaks, rolling large logs and carrying heavy rocks across her property, maintaining a garden and her yard well into her 80’s and 90’s. During her last years, she often refused any help or assistance. If and when it was offered, she would typically say she didn’t need it or would roll her eyes followed by a chuckle. Since she didn’t feel like an old person, she insisted that she didn’t need to be treated like one. Even at the end, some of her last words were “I’m okay”.

So many stories to tell, so much gratitude to give to her and for her. She will be deeply missed and always remembered. Since she wasn’t one to say goodbye, we can now say to her what she said to us “love ya and bye for now”.

Nina was preceded in death by her husband Bill Page; her son Gary Page; her son-in-law Clay Clarence; her parents Albert and Mertie Sanders; her siblings Jack (Dorothy) Sanders, Allen (Nancy) Sanders, Don (Wanda) Sanders, and Lois (Mac) McKee; her granddaughter Kathryn (Roger) Duncan

She is survived by her children Ken Page, Elaine Page-Clarence; Daughter-in-law Mary Sue Page; Grandchildren Charlie (Donna) Cruise, Maggie Lynn (Jonathan) Schrock, Michael Page, Brittany Page, Dylan (Jessica) Page, Misty (Nate) Vaughn, Christa (Timmy) Crawford; 15 Great grandchildren; 5 Great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Service to honor Nina and her life well lived will be at FBC Bloomfield 200 W Sycamore Ave. on Saturday, August 15th @ 10am. Family and friends are invited to a meal at the church immediately following.
