Patrick Place

Patrick G. Place passed away October 27, 2021 at the age of 79. He was born to Wallace and Jessie (McIntyre) Place on December 25th, 1941 in El Paso, Texas. Pat was the youngest of four children, the one who was not supposed to survive due to being born six weeks premature.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Ethel Place, his brothers John, Wallace, and sister Mary Ann. Pat is survived by his four children, Theresa, Sandra, Ernest and Sean in addition to his six grandchildren, Leigh-Ann, Martin, Symantha, Samuel, Mandy, Xander and five great grandchildren.
Pat originated from El Paso, TX where he met the love of his life while attending the Texas Western College before taking a position with the El Paso Natural Gas Company. Pat and Ethel eventually settled in the four corners area where they remained the rest of their lives. Pat soon started his own upholstery business that he successfully ran for over 45 years before officially retiring last spring. He was a craftsman and always worked towards perfection of the jobs that came through his shop. Pat was an excellent cook, which he passed down to his sons and could never figure out why it didn't take with his daughters. He was a story teller extraordinaire and had an abiding love of all things science. Pat was a long-term member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks and a dear friend to many in the community. Pat will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
We wish to thank the community in general and specifically Dr. Clark for all their support and assistance.
A memorial service will be scheduled at future date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice in his memory.
