Rachel Martinez

Rachel E. Martinez, 90, of Farmington, New Mexico, passed away peacefully at her Home with family by her side on August 18, 2021.

Rachel was born on July 26, 1931, in Monte Vista, Colorado to Jose Francisco Rivera and Christina C. Rivera.

Rachel loved to listen to music and go dancing when she was younger, and she enjoyed visiting with Family and Friends. She loved Hamburgers and never went without her Chili and beans and tortillas. She had a great sense of humor; She will be missed dearly by all of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her cat "Lucy".

She is survived by her loving sister Victoria Rene of Santa Fe, New Mexico and her brother Johnny Rivera of Monte Vista, Colorado. Children, Jerry Montoya (Delores), Daughters, Jeannette Strain (Manuel), Elizabeth Acosta, Phoebe Maez (Johnny), Viola Maez (Vince), Brothers, Johnny Rivera and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her sons, Tommy, Roddy, Mark Maestas and LeRoy Maez, daughter Gail Ann Montoya, parents Jose Francisco Rivera and Christina Ceceria Rivera (Martinez), and sister, Betty Martinez.
