Richard Damien Martinez

Richard Damien Martinez, age 30 of Farmington, New Mexico, passed away on Saturday October 24, 2026. Richard was born on November 13, 1995, in El Paso, Texas to Susana Franco and Jose Martinez.

Richard attended Farmington High School. His favorite past time was hanging out with family and friends. He was a avid listener to all kinds of music and loved going to concerts with his daughter and friends. He was always the life of the party and was great at bringing people together. His smile and laughter were loved qualities amongst many. Above all else Richard's proudest achievement and his life's finest work was raising his daughter. The love he gave her remains his most enduring legacy.

He was preceded in death by his father Jose Martinez, his grandparents Gloria Montelongo and Esperanza Lozoya.

Surviving are his daughter: Mikaela A. Martinez. His mother: Susana Franco. His brother: David Amaya. Sisters: Kasandra Martinez, Cassandra Martinez, Isabel Martinez, Karime Martinez and Angelica Martinez.

Cremation will take place and no services are formally scheduled at this time.
