Ricky Smith

Mr. Ricky Lee Smith, aged 67 of Aztec, NM, passed away on Friday April 18, 2025. Ricky was born on November 10, 1957, in Farmington, NM to the late John Edwin Smith and Carolyn Sue Sedlmayr-Reevs.

Ricky was a lifelong resident of San Juan County and was a certified Mechanic and Electronic Technician. If it was broken, he could fix it. He loved the outdoors and found peace in nature. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. However, all who knew him knew that he was much more and was always there to help family when in need. His passing leaves an irreplaceable void in our hearts and lives. We love you Rick, and you will forever be missed.

Ricky was preceded in death by his parents John and Carolyn Smith and his two brothers Walter and Andrew.

Surviving is his Step-Father Gordon Reevs, Sister Kathy Smith and twin sister Vicky Weaver. Brothers; David and Bobby Smith and Stepbrothers; Gary, Chuck and Eric Reevs.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday May 5th, 2025, at Greenmount Cemetery, Durango, CO.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Kris Metz, Mitch Smith, Evan Metz, Preston Paschall, Myles Smith and Connor Smith.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Gordon Reevs, Sean Paschall and Jared White
