Robert Wayne Cole

Robert Wayne Cole, 80, of Farmington New Mexico, passed away on February 10th 2025. Robert was born on March 21st, 1945, in Tipton County, Indiana, to parents Howard and Elsie (Sturdivant) Cole.

Robert was commonly known by his friends as “Bob”. His profession and employments over the years included Over-the-road truck driver, minister, electronic/solar energy and computer technician. He also worked in the film industry with John Wayne on different sets throughout the southwest. His favorite hobby was browsing yard sales, thrift stores and flee markets. His smart and loving lapdog “smiley” was his constant companion.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Ann “Renny” Simonsen, his parents Howard and Elsie Cole, his brother Jimmie Dean Cole, and his sisters Patricia Ellen (Laverne) Baker, Jacqueline Lee (Jackie), Linda Jean, Brenda Janelle, Holly Anne (Joseph) Knies, Carol Joy (Charles) Aiken, and Brenda Janelle.

Robert is survived by his daughter Dawn Wetmore, his brother Michael Howard Cole (Penny Pollock)
