Robert Bruce Smith, 72, of Aztec, New Mexico passed away on March 28, 2026. He was born on February 19, 1954, in Globe, Arizona to Franklin and Mary Smith.
He attended Aztec schools and pursed an education in Automotive school in Phoenix Arizona. Bruce was a self-employed Mechanic. He loved working with his hands and made remarkable musical instruments from different types of wood. Along with other interests he grew up fishing and loved the outdoors Bruce always had a project on the go and working on the next antique car was his passion. He had a love for Harley Davidson motorcycles and was always building something new.
He is preceded in death by his son Bobby Smith, daughter Yvonne Smith-Bates, and father Franklin Smith.
Bruce is survived by his daughter Oliva Prewett (Clark) Tennessee USA, mother Mary Smith Quesnel BC CANADA, brothers Dale (Teresa) Smith British Columbia and Ronnie (Georgina) Smith Alberta, sisters Verna (Scott) Kirk British Columbia and Susie Smith (Charlie Flyod) Oklahoma, grandchildren Alex Bates Tennessee, Dylan Bates Tennessee, Will Prewett Tennessee, Mason Prewett Tennessee, and countless nephews, nieces, and cousins-- Bruce will be missed by all.
