Roger Lee Burton

Roger Lee Burton, 63, of Farmington, New Mexico, passed away on August 10, 2026, in Farmington, New Mexico. Roger was born on July 12, 1963, in Blackwell, Oklahoma to parents Tommy & Mavis Burton.

Roger graduated from Kirtland High School in 1981 and later earned his bachelor’s degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 1985. He had retired from the State of New Mexico as the County Director of the Welfare department. He was currently working at San Juan College at the Health and Human performance center. Roger loved camping, quilting, and antique shopping. Roger was known for his super great sense of humor. He was deeply loved by his family and friends and will be deeply missed.

Roger is preceded in death by his mother Mavis Nadine Burton who passed away on May 19, 2020.

Roger is survived by his life partner Loren Smith, father Tommy Wyate Burton, brother Ed Burton, and sister Linda Burg.
