Roger Phillips

In the early morning hours of December 2, 2020, after an extremely courageous 12 year fight to maintain his health, heaven gained one of the strongest and most resilient men that has ever walked the earth, Roger “Dean” Phillips.  Dean was born on July 12, 1948 to Cline and Ludie Phillips in Camden, Arkansas.  In January of 1969, Dean married the love of his life Vickie Harrington.  Dean was a United States Navy Veteran who served in Vietnam and was on a Destroyer Vietnam, Japan and also Guam.  During his tenure with the Navy, Dean and Vickie were based in San Diego and Long Beach, California from 1968 to 1971.  After Dean’s Honorable Discharge from the Navy, they returned to their home state of Arkansas.  In September of 1977, they had a son, Jason.  Dean and Vickie moved to the Farmington area in May of 1981 and have remained here since.  Dean and Vickie owned and operated Aspen Refrigeration which later became Aspen Commercial Service and he was later a partner in CoolTech Service Company, with his son Jason.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his loving wife Vickie, son Jason and daughter-in-law Rikki (Tully) and was the very proud, loving and spoiling Papa of 2 grandchildren, Rani and Tyler. Dean also leaves behind his little troublemaker pup, Biscuit and his brother Dale of Crossett, Arkansas.
Dean was cremated and there will not be a service, but rather a Celebration of Life in the summer of 2021 as he would’ve liked.
