Sherri Lynn Durham, 62, of Farmington, New Mexico, passed away on April 4, 2025, in Farmington, New Mexico. Sherri was born on January 4, 1963, in Farmington, New Mexico to parents Robert Clinton Scott, Ruby Eloise (Taylor) Scott.
Sherri graduated from Kirtland Central High School in 1981, where she was an active member of the band and played the flute. Known for her sociable nature, Sherri made numerous friends. Over her lifetime, she worked in various places, demonstrating her versatility and adaptability.
She lived in Tucson, Arizona, and it was there that she discovered her passion for the legal field while serving on jury duty. This inspired her to pursue a career as a paralegal. Eventually, Sherri returned to New Mexico, where she explored different career paths including roles at Cope Memorial, San Juan Regional Urgent Care, and Webb Chevrolet. Additionally, she assisted Broadway Gifts and Flowers with deliveries during busy times.
Sherri was dedicated to serving her community and enjoyed working at the polls during elections for several years. She was known for her loving and caring nature, often expressing her affection for her loved ones through frequent text messages and phone calls. Sherri had a profound love for animals, always maintaining a soft spot for them.
Sherri is preceded in Death by her parents Robert Clinton Scott, and Ruby Eloise (Taylor) Scott, her sister Beverly Boston and son in law Darren Tsosie.
Sherri is survived by daughters Carissa Scott (Tsosie), and Tiffanie Wright, son Robert Ingersoll III, grandchildren Aiden Wright, Brendan Scott, Olivia Scott, Kaelani Tsosie and great grandchild Liamani Scott.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 10:00am, at The Church of Latter-Day Saints, Kirtland Stake Center, 10 Rd 6523, Kirtland, New Mexico.
