Stephanie N. Malagon-Abeyta, a beloved wife, grandmother, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and cherished friend, left this earth peacefully and entered into eternal rest to be with our Lord on August 26, 2025, at the age of 45 after a battle with cancer. She was born on July 29, 1980, in Farmington, NM, to Rigo and Dee Hernandez.
Stephanie loved being around her family and friends and was the life of the party. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved to cook, camp, and ride the Rzr. She worked in the dental field her adult life and always put everyone else’s needs above hers. In her final moments here on earth she was surrounded by her family who meant everything to her. Stephanie always wore a beautiful smile and will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her brother Paul Matamoros, and her grandfather Johnnie Apodaca.
Stephanie is survived by her Husband and love of her life Chris Abeyta, sons Ricardo Hernandez (Noemi), Chris Jr., stepdaughters Angel and Kaela, Mother Dee (Rigo) Hernandez, Brother Richard (Angel) Acosta, Her Grandmother Clara Apodaca and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews and close friends.
Services will be held at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Blanco, NM on Saturday September 13, 2025, with a Rosary at 10:30 a.m. and Funeral Mass to follow at 11 a.m. A reception will follow at Saint rose of lima catholic church in the hall. She will be interred at Saint Mary’s Columbarium in Farmington at a later time.
