Susan Nay

Susan Doris Nay, age 69, resided in Farmington New Mexico. She was born in Manchester New Hampshire on March 19, 1954. She has passed away in Farmington New Mexico. Although she had a year long battle with her health she died suddenly on June 27,2023. She was married to Michael Charles Nay, aged 67, when he passed away in Farmington, NM on December 17,2018.

They were side by side for 50 years and married on Valentine's Day. This is befitting of a couple that "fell in love at first sight" when they met in high school. Today they will be side by side once again. They moved from Manchester, NH to Farmington NM with their 6 year old daughter and their soon to be born son in 1981. The house they pulled up to was where they would stay and never resided anywhere else.

After speaking with their friends to reminisce, the word heard the most was describing them as "fun." The very next thing remembered was her smile...she lit up a room. She was very funny and made everyone around her laugh, even voted class clown in school. While smiling and laughing she would say "I can't decide if that was a good thing or a bad thing."

In Farmington she went to Cosmetology school and enjoyed the aspect of cutting hair so that's what she did for many years. Making friends and acquiring many loyal clients.

Michael went on to a successful career with Pepsi Cola. He was so loyal to the brand that he wouldn't let anyone set foot in their house with any other product. They were beyond excited when their daughter told them they would have a grandchild Hudson. Both were good buddies with him, often building Lego sets and painting together. They also enjoyed watching their son pitch in many baseball games.

They are survived by their daughter Jessica Hoaglund, (Glen Hoaglund), son Justin Nay, grandson Hudson Hoaglund, brother Donald Vaillancourt (Barbara Vaillancourt ), sister-in-law Beverly Flores and niece/goddaughter Chantel Klardie (Shane Klardie).

Her wishes were to be cremated and not have a memorial service.
