Terri Lyn Smith Roquemore

May 17, 1956 — March 16, 2024

Born May 17th, 1956, passed peacefully in her home surrounded by family on March 16th, 2024.

Terri was born to Rayburn and Jeannie Smith on May 17th, 1956, in Douglas Arizona. She was raised in Bisbee Arizona.

She met the love of her life Darrold Roquemore in July of 1988; they were married on September 10th, 1988. Over the span of their 35 years together they shared a love for their children (3), Grandchildren (9) and their many critters. Terri finally found someone who matched her love for the outdoors, horses, dog's, rabbits and goats among many other interests.

They spent the early years of their marriage in Ignacio, Colorado and Aztec, New Mexico. Finally in 1998 a 6-acre parcel of land was purchased in Blanco New Mexico where Terri spent many many happy years making a home and raising animals.

Terri enjoyed breeding rabbits and goats. She spent many years helping and guiding young children in 4-H as a leader in the Rabbit Barn for the San Juan County Fair. She was often referred to as ‘’Mom’’ by many of her three children's friends. She was someone a Teenager could go to for help or a listening ear. She listened with a heart full of love and non judgemental advice. She opened her home to many in need and provided warm meals and love. Terri alluded love and kindness to everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her loving Husband of 35 years Darrold Roquemore, Sons Shayne Richardson (Jessica), Justin Jones, Daughter Raydean Warr; Her Mother Jeannie Smith, brothers Steve (Mollie), Martin (Liz) and 9 beautiful Grandchildren.

Terri is cherished by the many friendships she made while on this earth. She will be welcomed into Heaven by her Father Rayburn Smith, Big Mom, Grandma Smith, her Sassie Dog, and many other generations of cherished loved ones who passed before her.

The family wishes to thank all those who have reached out with love, prayers and many memories shared throughout the years. Per Terri’s wishes, there will be no services conducted.
