Thomas Dewey Johnson

Thomas Johnson, 79, of Bloomfield, New Mexico, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022. Thomas was born on November 13, 1942, in Muscogee, Oklahoma.

Tom met and married the love of his life Leta Johnson on October 16, 1965. They had two daughters together. Dana and Ron Robinson of Georgia and their children Rashell, her husband Cecil Bailey, their sons Gregory, and Ryan. Their youngest daughter Karen Johnson of Bloomfield and her daughter Alexandra. He also has four great grandchildren: Anjel, Bentley, Noel, and Jaydn.

Tom proudly served in the Marine Core from August 21, 1961, until July 23, 1967, he ended his time served by being honorably discharged.

Many people know Tom by his 30 plus years as a tire salesman at Western Tire (big man on top, little man inside). You were always welcomed by a handshake or a hug by him.

The Johnson Family invites everyone to join us in a celebration of Tom’s life on Monday, May 30, 2022, at 10:30am, at The First Baptist Church, 700 Navajo Ave, Aztec, New Mexico. The family will be hosting a reception following his Celebration of Life.
