Timothy Michael Garrett

Timothy Michael Garrett passed from this life on Sunday, July 5, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was ready to meet Jesus, and we find comfort in knowing his faith has become sight.

Tim was born to Michael and Juanita Garrett on August 4, 1969, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He moved with his parents to Bloomfield, New Mexico in 1976. He met the love of his life, Patricia, in 1981 when they were in 7th grade. Tim and Trish were married on November 27, 1987 and had three beautiful children in 1991, 1995, and 1999.

Tim was one of the hardest working, and kindest people you could meet. He worked primarily in the oilfield in the San Juan Basin in New Mexico, Permian Basin in Texas, and overseas in Kazakhstan, Russia, and Australia. Throughout these years, he made so many wonderful friends that turned into family. He started a trucking company with his son in 2016 and it was his greatest joy and proudest moments to be able to work side by side with his son every day.

We have been told countless stories of how Tim treated people with kindness, respect, and humor. He had a big heart, a big personality, and was generous with his time and everything he had to give.

When Tim wasn’t working, he enjoyed coaching his kids’ baseball and softball teams and always cheering them on. He also enjoyed camping, hunting, cooking, paddle boarding, and going for rides with his family on the four wheelers and side-by-sides.

Tim is survived by his adoring Wife of 38 years Trish, his three beautiful children: Son Cole (Heather), Daughter Sydney (Brice), and Daughter Rhion. He is also survived by his loving Parents Mike and Nita, and three wonderful Grandchildren Avery, Camden, and Brooks who were the light and joy of his life, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews that were dear to his heart. There are dozens of young people who came through our lives that had such a special place in his heart, and you all know who you are.

Tim was preceded in death by his Brother Ty Allen Garrett, Grandparents Bernard and Maurine Miller, Grandmother Patsy Garrett, and his precious Grandson Emmett.

Services will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at 10:30am at Cross Roads Community Church in Farmington with a family reception to follow. In lieu of flowers or other gifts, the family asks that donations be made in Tim’s name to the Glioblastoma Foundation at: glioblastomafoundation.org
