Vera Eleanor Cardenas

Vera Eleanor Cardenas, 84, of Aztec, New Mexico passed from this life March 3, 2022. She was born August 7, 1937 to parents Jake and Helen Gonzales in Monte Vista, Colorado. She loved her kids; her family meant everything to her. She enjoyed picnics and watching the grandkids play. Her dog, Blanca, was her best friend. She was a devoted Catholic.

Vera is preceded in death by her parents, Jake & Helen Gonzales, brothers: Jake, Joe, Charles, Fred, and Gerald, and her sister, Marie.

She is survived by her husband, John Cardenas, daughters: Anna and Charlene, sons Jim, Duane and John Paul (Sandy), her brother: Donny, and her sisters: Dorothy and Reyes, her grandchildren: Jeremey (Sarah), Nicole, Santana (Austin), Johnathan (Cheyenne), and Zohie, and her great-grandchildren: Alicia, Julicia, Joseph, Roman, Dominic, Kadence, Daytin, Sebastian, Cambria, and Cortez.
