Wanda Jackson

Wanda Jackson, 88, passed away at San Juan Regional Medical Center, June 9, 2025, after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born to Jacob Alonzo Heath and Lilly Jane Myrick Heath on November 28, 1936, in Hominy, Oklahoma. Wanda graduated from Shidler High School, Shidler, Oklahoma. She moved to the Farmington area in 1957 and resided in the area since. She loved animals, particularly her horses (she was a life-long member of the AQHA), dogs, and cats. Wanda was employed by Farmington Veterinary Clinic for over 35 years.

Wanda married Harold Jackson in 1961. She is survived by her son, Bobby Jackson, of Springtown, Texas, her sister Barbara Heath Ragsdale, of Sandsprings, Oklahoma, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Jackson (2004), her brothers, Jake Wesley Heath, George Wayne Heath (2007), and Clifford Kenneth Heath, Sr. (2013) and her sister Frances Ellen Heath Santa Maria (2020).

There will be a graveside service for Wanda in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, where she will be laid to rest alongside family members. In lieu of flowers any donations to the AQHA (donatetoday.aqha.com), or the American Cancer Society (donate.cancer.org).
