Warren Russell Marrietta was born on May 20, 1954, in Sacaton, Arizona. He passed from this life on March 25, 2024, in Farmington, New Mexico.

 Warren was a retired Army Veteran and was a proud member of the Pima Indian tribe from Sacaton, Arizona.

 After serving honorably for 20 years in the U.S. Army, he was honorably discharged. Warren received an associate degree in applied science from Garden City Community College in Kansas. Warren married his wife Ruth, a Navajo from Salina Springs, Arizona, on April 21, 1984, in Lawrence, Kansas. The couple had three children together - two daughters, Karen Briseño and Rebecca Marrietta, and a son, Hiram Marrietta. They also had one granddaughter named Ariyanna Briseño.

After retirement, Warren and his family settled in Farmington, New Mexico where he enjoyed cooking dinners for his loved ones. An active man despite later disabilities, Warren liked going for runs and reading. He was looking forward to celebrating his upcoming 40th anniversary with Ruth in April. Known for his kind nature, Warren loved socializing with friends and family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Warren was preceded in death by his parents, Mitchell and Esther Marrietta.

A memorial service honoring Mr. Marrietta will be held on Monday, May 20, 2024 at 11:00 am in Vietnam Veterans Park, located at 3801 N. Butler Ave.

 A second service is scheduled to take place in Sacaton, AZ, on May 24, 2024, please check back for information.
