Weldon Harvey Watson, 69, of Farmington, New Mexico passed away on October 11, 2026. He was born on September 6, 1957, in Port Lavaca, Texas to Joel Glen Watson and Vassie Hood.

Weldon loved to fish, he loved to gamble at Sunray Casino for about 2 years. He worked in Maine as a surveyor. Weldon loved his family; he has a sister Clara Newcomb whom he is very close with. In 1994 Weldon married Barbara and had their son, Robert Watson. He loved sandpainting, jewelry, and going to the flea market in Farmington, NM. Weldon loved collecting rocks, and arrowheads. Weldon had many talents he had a great singing voice; he was an amazing roll skater and could dance very well.

He is preceded in death by his son David Nathan Watson, his parents Vassie Hood and Joel Glen Watson, brother Glen Rebel Watson, and grandparents Charlie Lee Watson and Jack and Hazel Bale.

Weldon is survived by his ex-wife Barbara Stock, son Robert Watson, brother Jack Watson, sister Clara Newcomb, and grandson Kenneth Richard Chokie Watson.

A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday October 24, 2026, at Bloomfield Assembly of God (211 E Oak Street, Bloomfield, NM 87413). Officiated by Alan Wolfard.
