Willard Vaughn Sandoval, 61, of Farmington, NM passed from this life on Thursday, July 16, 2026. Willie was born December 5, 1964, in Farmington, NM. He was preceded in death by his parents Franklin Sandoval, Sr. and Victoria Sandoval; brothers Franklin Sandoval, Jr., Ronald Sandoval, Robert Sandoval, Maurice Sandoval, sister Debra Sandoval and niece Kristen Sandoval. He is survived by sister Katherine Sandoval, brother Daniel Sandoval, and many nephews and nieces. He was the 6th child of eight and was raised in Farmington, New Mexico. He graduated from Farmington High School in 1983 and soon enlisted into the United States Marine Corps/Reserve and was assigned to Delta Company, 4th Reconnaissance BN, 4th MarDiv.FMF, USMCR, Albuquerque, NM. He worked for L&R oil field services as a roustabout and laborer/sandblaster for Riley Industrial Services.

Early Thursday morning on July 16, 2026, Willie died unexpectedly and sadly lost his life. He was a beloved brother, uncle and friend to all and a proud Marine veteran who left this world too soon. He now stands at the gates of heaven guarding and protecting as one of God’s warrior angels. He will be greatly missed by all – A viewing and memorial service will be held at the Farmington Funeral Home on Friday, August 7th starting at 10:00 am – 12:00 noon. He will then be laid to rest at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Farmington, NM following the funeral services.
