William Schmidt

William Dale Schmidt of Farmington, New Mexico passed away peacefully on July 11, 2025 surrounded by his family. Bill was born in Anadarko, Oklahoma on July 5, 1952 to Artimece Moore and Howard Schmidt. Bill married the love of his life Barbara on June 5, 1976 and they have four beautiful children.

Bill loved Star Trek, geology, jeeping, national parks, the Disney movie Fantasia and photography. Bill was an amazing man that was loved by all and he will be deeply missed by everyone that knew him.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and sister (Connie). He is survived by his wife Barbara and his children, Jude and her husband Brent, Farrah and her husband Joe, Johanna and her husband Marlon and Bill and his wife Chelsea. Bill has nine grandchildren; JC, Justin, Delaney, Matthew, Drake, Griffin, Zoey, Deacon and Noah.

A Catholic service is scheduled for August 2, 2025 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Farmington. A rosary will held at 10:30 am with the mass directly after at 11:00 am. Bill will be privately laid to rest at Greenlawn Cemetery.
