John McCoy

John Kenneth McCoy, 83, of Farmington, went home to his Heavenly Father on February 17, 2021. He passed away peacefully at home, after a lengthy illness, with his wife Anne at his side. He was Born on July 3rd, 1937 in Springer, NM to Holis E. McCoy, and Mary Irons McCoy.

John spent most of his youth on the family farm. He graduated from Keyes High School. He served his country in the U.S. Airforce. After his service he lived in Amarillo, TX where he worked as a Service Manager for Amarillo Diesel. In 1970 he moved to Farmington to work as a Service Manager for Sandia Detroit Diesel. John and his Wife Anne operated T-Bone Steak House and J&A Steakhouse till the mid 1980's. They opened Dad's Bait, Boats, and Upholstery Shop, and in 1997 added Dad's RV Park to the Business.

John loved dealing with his customers. He never met a stranger and was always ready to sit and share his life experiences with them. He loved visiting with family and friends, playing his guitar, taking cruises and traveling the country in his motor home. he was a lifetime member of  Elk's Lodge #1747

John is preceded in death by his parents Hollis and Mary McCoy, Brother Larmon McCoy, Sister Donatti Miller, daughter Joni Lynn Maestas, Granddaughters Rachael McCoy and Charlese Ingram, grandsons Richard McCoy and Jonathan Ingram.

John is Survived by his loving wife, Anne, sons Mark McCoy, Mike (Linda) McCoy, Jackie McCoy, Chris (Susie) McCoy, daughters Melissa Williams, Regina Ingram, brother Norman McCoy, best friends Buddy McCollum, Corydon  Indiana, and Porter Richardson, Farmington, N.M. Twelve (12) grandchildren, Fifteen (15) great-grandchildren, and one (1) great-great-grandchildren.

John chose cremation and requested no services be held. A family memorial will be held at a later date. He is in the care of Farmington Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Elks Lodge #1747 in Farmington.
