Keith W. Shelby passed away March 27th, 2021.
Keith was born on September 29th, 1940 in Flora Vista, NM to Benjamin K. Shelby and Nora Shelby.
Keith served in the Air Force and Army. Keith entered the Air Force at the Age of 17 after convincing his mother to sign a release form for him to serve. He was an Avid fisherman and hunter. Keith's favorite person to fish with was his long-time friend, Bill.
One of his favorite things to do was to tell stories of his younger years; And let me tell you he had some adventures. Those that would hear his stories would walk away thinking "How was that possible?" or "How did he survive?"
Keith had a career as a Union worker and in the oilfield for many years.
Keith was a member of the Cornerstone Apostolic Church and enjoyed his long conversations with Pastor Michael.
Keith is preceded in death by both his parents and all his siblings: Ben (Snook), Neva, Ray, and Charlotte.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Elaine, his children: Shirley (Mark) Moore, Tina (Steve) Trujillo, Heath (Bubba) Shelby, Lillyan (Chris) Ball, and Nathaniel Shelby. 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Keith is in the care of Farmington Funeral Home.
There will be a viewing Friday April 2nd at 3:30pm in the Chapel at Farmington Funeral Home. On Saturday April 3rd at 10:00 am, there will be a Celebration of Life for Keith at Cornerstone Apostolic Church Of Farmington.
