Mary Neuenschwander

We sadly announce the unexpected passing of Mary M. Neuenschwander on March 5, 2021, a month before her 84th birthday.  Mary was born in Detroit, Michigan, on April 6, 1937, to Margaret Winifred (Vondergoltz) and Paul Mlynarovich.  She was a trail blazer and obtained her RN degree in nursing at a time when it was unusual for women to have careers, and she was devoted to nursing.  Mary was a valued member of the nursing staff at San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington, New Mexico, where she worked for more than 50 years before retiring.  After retiring, she continued to work as a nursing instructor at San Juan Community College, guiding and mentoring nursing students.  Mary is survived by her three children, Melissa Fassett (David Sheehan), Douglas P. Fassett, and Leslie Plummer (Steve) ), and grandchildren David Plummer, Dustin Plummer, and Chastity Plummer. She will be greatly missed.

A service is planned at the Farmington Funeral Home chapel on March 26, 2021, at 2 pm.
