Theresa Kennedy

Theresa Maxine Kennedy known as "Mickie" went to join our Heavenly Father and her beloved husband Michael Kennedy September 27, 2021. Mickie was born in Anchorage, Alaska. Mickie was the third of seven children. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Mickie was born to Leon and Mary Brown. She married to Michael Kennedy for 48 years, her true love and soul mate. They had three children Harold (Jeri) Kennedy, Charlene (Ryan) Hadden, and Michael Kennedy, Jr. Mickie had 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mickie is survived by sisters Leona (Pete) Krivokapich, Bernie (Michael) Trissell, brothers Ronald (Hanna) Brown, James (Linda) Brown and Bobby (Sylvia) Brown.
Mickie was preceded in death by her father Leon Brown, her mother Mary and stepfather Cruz Martinez, Brother William Brown and her beloved husband Michael Kennedy.
Mickie was a gifted and big-hearted person. She was always ready to help a neighbor, family, or a stranger. She donated many of her one-of-a-kind quilts to charitable causes. She would always be the first one to arrive at someone's door with a homemade meal when someone was in any kind of need or just because.
Mickie was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and one of the first female Color Guards. She was a wonderful seamstress. She crocheted beautiful doilies and Blessing gowns for her granddaughters and nieces. All her handmade gifts were made with love. Mickie sold her baked goods and quilts at the
Farmington Flea Market. She was known as the "Cookie Lady." Mickie could turn one man's trash into a treasure and made a profit just like her mother. Mickie was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan. She loved to listen to Elvis and country legends like Mary Robbins, George Jones, and Conway Twitty. Mickie loved her family. She was so proud of each one of them, their accomplishments, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved the time she spent with her sisters and brothers. She called her cousins, friends and family on a regular basis. She never forgot a birthday, anniversary or a
name. Mickie, you are loved and never forgotten.
The memorial for Mickie Kennedy will be at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 902 W. Blanco Boulevard, Bloomfield, New Mexico on Saturday, October 9, 2021, from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.
