History
Farmington Funeral Home is proudly locally owned and operated by the Ferrari family, representing three generations of dedicated service to families throughout San Juan County and the Four Corners region.
Established in 2015 by Vince and Helen Ferrari, Farmington Funeral Home was founded with a meaningful mission: to provide families with a compassionate, affordable, and personalized option during life’s most difficult moments. For more than 40 years, Vince and Helen have served the San Juan County community through their local businesses, building lasting relationships grounded in trust, integrity, and genuine care.
In 2020, their son, R. Shane Ferrari, joined the family firm following a distinguished 29-year career in law enforcement, including serving as the elected Sheriff of San Juan County. Throughout his years of public service, Shane gained extensive experience supporting individuals and families through times of crisis, loss, and uncertainty. His dedication to serving others, compassionate nature, and deep community ties continue to strengthen the family’s mission of caring for local families with dignity and respect.
In 2024, the third generation of the Ferrari family entered the profession when Ashlee Ferrari — daughter of Shane and Brandie Ferrari and granddaughter of Vince and Helen — joined the Farmington Funeral Home team. A graduate of the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service, Ashlee became licensed as a funeral director in both New Mexico and Colorado. Her professionalism, compassion, and commitment to service reflect the values the Ferrari family has upheld for generations.
Today, Farmington Funeral Home remains dedicated to serving every family with compassion, excellence, and personalized care — not only as funeral professionals, but as friends, neighbors, and proud members of the community they call home.
